Having the opportunity to document a family at different seasons in their lives is one of the best things about being a photographer. Last year, I photographed Patrick, the almost 2 year old with boundless energy. This year, they added another to their clan: Alex. Just a few from our morning at Loose Park.

I recently had the great pleasure of photographing an expecting mother I have known for a very long time. We met when we were barely more than toddlers; spending many a childhood day together. The years have taken us many places, but I am so happy to be back in Kansas City and have the opportunity to document this season in her life. I also love the interaction between her & her husband, not to mention the furry family of cats and dogs they have taken in over the years. So much love!

I just love the radiance that surrounds a new person, and the joy that emanates from their loved ones. Ava and her mother had a fun time watching the approaching storm with us on a warm afternoon. We also took a few in her heirloom infant gown, with her 90+ year old great grandmother. The combination of ages were beautiful to behold.
