Having the opportunity to document a family at different seasons in their lives is one of the best things about being a photographer. Last year, I photographed Patrick, the almost 2 year old with boundless energy. This year, they added another to their clan: Alex. Just a few from our morning at Loose Park.

I recently had the great pleasure of photographing an expecting mother I have known for a very long time. We met when we were barely more than toddlers; spending many a childhood day together. The years have taken us many places, but I am so happy to be back in Kansas City and have the opportunity to document this season in her life. I also love the interaction between her & her husband, not to mention the furry family of cats and dogs they have taken in over the years. So much love!

I just love the radiance that surrounds a new person, and the joy that emanates from their loved ones. Ava and her mother had a fun time watching the approaching storm with us on a warm afternoon. We also took a few in her heirloom infant gown, with her 90+ year old great grandmother. The combination of ages were beautiful to behold.

As you will remember, Ramona and her family are dear friends of ours. We took some shots of her at just over one year old at the beginning of summer, enjoying her backyard with her family. I love how expressive and excited Ramona always is, something she gets from her parents no doubt. Also enjoy a quick little video Brandon made of this fun shoot.

I had a fun morning at English Landing Park in Parkville with Patrick and his family last weekend. Patrick is about to be two and most definitely a whirlwind of energy. Patrick likes water, pointing, running, and more running. Thanks for the opportunity to document this time, it goes so fast!

Javier turned two a few weeks ago and we were honored to be in on the festivities. Baseball, birthday, and.. and cell phone? Apparently cell phones are the universal ultimate child toy as Simone also loves to snatch ours. I love how he refused to put the cell phone down when trying to hit the pinata. So much fun & lots of love with this family.
