I wanted to share an image that is dear to me. Brandon took a portrait of Simone, myself, my mother and grandmother on Easter of this year – a 4 generation portrait. After recently losing my grandmother after a long illness, this portrait remains, and was so dear to her she requested it be shown at her service. This is why we choose to document life; to provide a visual testament to our loved ones. To remember to cherish every moment as they all go too quickly. To provide the imagery to spark memories for years to come. And maybe, 100 years from now, provide insight for your great grandchildren, and theirs, and so on.

after a number of recent changes for the Parigos, the dust is finally settling. number one, we have relocated to the KC area– this means we will be more available starting.. now! number two, we’ve been busy working on various projects: all kinds of videos, updating our site(s), watching our daughter grow and gearing up for spring. 8 inches of snow this weekend however.. hopefully it’s around the bend. expect to see more from us; more personal stuff as well as other work. until then, here is Simone, who seems to perpetually have something up her sleeve.

Already slacking on my new years resolution– blog more! I will try harder. We’ve been snowed in for days.. starting to get a little dizzy from all the white. I wanted to share a few from the holidays at Chez Parigo (warning: Simone overload ahead). Next up: less of us, more of you!
Family photo with a pensive Simone (pretty typical)–

Thanksgiving, first solid food, though she apparently prefers books, and toys–

of course she has to help–

Apparently wrapping paper is also good to eat, as seen on Xmas morning–

Showing off those big new teeth, and being curious as always–

I just wanted to take a few moments to express how blessed we have been in 2009. On top of our lives being completely changed with the coming of our daughter, we have had the opportunity to get to know some of the most wonderful people AND document their lives. We could not be more thankful. We also can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2010! Much love and a happy new year to everyone. On that note, here’s a pic of Simone showing us her newest project– more and more teeth!
